Kelsey Claude Kelley, 89, of Gordonville died Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Oct. 31, 1925, in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, to Benjamin and Melissa Spears Kelley. He and Frieda Clark were married in January 1952 in Piggott, Arkansas.
Kelsey worked the family farm until 1968 and then started Kelley's Waterproofing and had a successful career, retiring in 1999. He was a member of VFW in Jackson.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, stationed in the Philippines.
Survivors include his wife, Frieda; a son, Larry Kelley of Daisy; a daughter, Carolyn (Edward) Eftink of High Ridge, Missouri; three granddaughters, Jennifer (Andrew) Baronovic, Kimberley (Pedro) Minakata and Beth Ann Eftink; and two great-grandchildren, Sam and Kelsey Minakata.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and a sister.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Chapel in Scott City.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Charles Lance officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park with full military honors.
