OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- Kenneth Gowin, 83, of Olive Branch, died Monday, June 8, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
He was born Sept. 12, 1908, near Oblong, son of Frank and Mary Ann Littlejohn Gowin. He and the former Pauline Alexander were married Sept. 12, 1929.
Gowin was a retired owner/operator of Gowin Hardware here, and member of Natrona Masonic Lodge in Casper, Wyo.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Terry Gowin of Olive Branch; a daughter, Carol Hoerr of Belleville; two sisters, Mary Utterback and Wanda Watts of Oblong; seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, and nine brothers and sisters.
Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms after 6 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The Revs. Jerry Gowin and Darrell Neatherly will officiate, with burial in Olive Branch Cemetery.
