DEXTER, Mo. -- Kenneth Lee Griffin, 58, died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2001, at Advance Nursing Center in Advance, Mo.

He was born Sept. 14, 1942, at Dudley, Mo., son of W. Fonzie and Anna Mable Funkhouser Griffin.

Griffin had lived in the Dudley, Zalma and Dexter areas.

He served 20 years in the U.S. Army, and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife, Doris Griffin of St. Louis; a son, Kenneth Griffin of St. Louis; two daughters, Kathy Julio of Kansas City, Mo., Elizabeth Griffin of St. Louis; three brothers, Gary Griffin of Batesville, Ark., Lowan Griffin of Potosi, Mo., Rudolph Griffin of Tehachapi, Calif.; two sisters, JoAnn Kestner and Janease Harms of Dudley.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter after 11 a.m. Monday.

Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Dudley Cemetery. Lowan Griffin will officiate.
