JACKSON -- Kenneth Owen Brown, 73, of Jackson, died Sunday, July 16, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born May 16, 1922, in Kincaid, Ill., son of Owen and Sadie Barnes Brown. He and Dorothy Fuller were married Feb. 2, 1946, in Springfield, Ill.
Brown was a machinist with Allis Chalmers Co. in Springfield, Ill., more than 20 years. After retiring because of ill health he moved to Jackson. He was a member of House of Prayer Tabernacle in Cape Girardeau.
He served with the U.S. Army in the Philippines during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Virginia Brown of Jackson, Ellen Wolf of Hereford, Ariz.; three brothers, Russell Brown of Sharpsburg, Ill., Ezra Brown of Pawnee, Ill., Spencer Brown of Edinburg, Ill.; a sister, Josephine Craig of Pawnee, and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the chapel, with Joe Heflin officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
