KENNY RICE

BLOOMFIELD -- Kenny Rice, 56, of Bloomfield died at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis Friday, July 13, 1998.

He was born at Malden on Feb. 9, 1942, son of J.R. and Jewell Carr Rice. He married Barbara Montgomery May 27, 1961.

Rice was a farmer in the Bloomfield area. He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Bloomfield.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Loyd Rice of Bloomfield; three daughters, Tammy Sells of Bloomfield, Ronda Shipman and J.J. Hampton, both of Dexter; four sisters, Faye Loree and Kathryn Shepard, both of East Peoria, Ill., Delores Dahlgren of Wisconsin and Janice Lankford of Poplar Bluff; a stepsister, Betty Whitehead; three stepbrothers, Larry Stinson, Doug Stinson and Don Stinson; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two grandchildren.

Service will be Monday at 10 a.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with the Revs. Hank Foster and Bob Holland officiating. Burial will be in Walker Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. today.
