Larry Joseph Berkbigler, 66, of Old Appleton died Monday, Jan. 26, 2009, in Perry County, Mo. Berkbigler was born July 18, 1942, at Friedheim, Mo., son of Norbert and Luella Blechle Berkbigler. He married Mary F. Conrad. He was a heavy hauler and truck driver for Kelley Railroad Contractors. Berkbigler was also a heavy hauler for Hertz Equipment Rental in St. Louis. Larry Joseph Berkbigler, 66, of Old Appleton died Monday, Jan. 26, 2009, in Perry County, Mo.

Berkbigler was born July 18, 1942, at Friedheim, Mo., son of Norbert and Luella Blechle Berkbigler. He married Mary F. Conrad.

He was a heavy hauler and truck driver for Kelley Railroad Contractors. Berkbigler was also a heavy hauler for Hertz Equipment Rental in St. Louis. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Apple Creek, Mo., and American Legion Post 133.

Berkbigler served in the U.S. Air Force.

He is survived by his wife of Old Appleton; two daughters, Charlotte (David Perez) Davis of Wildomar, Calif., Kimberly (Bill) Humphrey of Pocahontas; three brothers, Charles (Barb) Berkbigler and Terry (Lanitta) Berkbigler of Friedheim, Stacy (Linda) Sauer of Olathe, Kan.; two sisters, Brenda (Joe Don) Randol of Jackson, LaDonna (Johnny) Pfau of St. Louis; five grandchildren, Cole, Amber and Ashley Humphrey and Alexandrea and Carissa Davis.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. today at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville, Mo.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. today at St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle, Mo., with the Rev. Tony Dattilo officiating. Burial will be in St. Maurus Cemetery.
