CANALOU, Mo. -- Larry Lynn Drake, 53, of Canalou died Thursday, May 12, 2005, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Aug. 30, 1951, at Canalou, son of Grover D. and Iris Blankinship Drake.
Drake was an independent truck driver.
He served in the U.S. Army from September 1968 to October 1970.
Survivors include two sons, Keith Hazel of Sikeston, Mo., Larry Drake Jr. of West Plains, Mo.; two daughters, Carrie Horde and Christian Long of West Plains; three sisters, Gloria Chaney and Gladys Drake of Canalou, Becky Stafford of Kimberling City, Mo.; his fiancee, Cindy Brothers of Canalou; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. today at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield. The Rev. Dewayne Coleman will officiate. Full military honors will be conducted by Stoddard County Veterans Honor Guard.
Blanchard Funeral Chapel in Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
