Larry D. Johnson, 67, of Jackson passed away Thursday, March 31, 2022, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Nov. 29, 1954, in New Madrid, Missouri, to Roy Alvin and Mary Brewer Johnson.
Larry served in the U.S. Army. He was a welder, working several years at ARI in Jackson.
His children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the loves of his life.
Loving survivors include two sons, Erik (Amanda) Johnson and Darin (Pam) Johnson of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Daugn Johnson of Lakeland, Florida; Nickie Farrar of Altenburg, Missouri; and Kristen "K.J." Overy of Jackson; 20 grandchildren, Madison Brethold of Burfordville; Bryan Johnson of Tampa, Florida; Morgan and Mason Hiett of Cape Girardeau; Raelynn Farrar, Elizabeth Farrar, Danyel Farrar and Trey Farrar, all of Altenburg; and Levi Shoulders of Bushton, Kansas; Zachery and Cameron Overy of Jackson; Justin Shock, Megan (Jesus) Alvarez, Keston Shock, Amber Anderson, Erick Dawson, Matthew Powers, Jacob Rand, Heavenly Dawson and Elizabeth Johnson, all of Lakeland; nine great-grandchildren, Alexander, Alyssa, Millie, Savannah, Ryker, Ava, Bailey, Damien and Skyler; three sisters, Linda (Neil) Lenard of California, Patricia (Craig) Petzoldt of St. Mary, Missouri, and Crystal (David) Andrews of Jackson; and a former wife, Karan.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents; two former wives, Diana and Donna; and a granddaughter, McKayla Overy.
A family gathering will be announced at a later date.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to the donor's choice of church or charity.
McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center was entrusted with Larry's arrangements.
