SCOTT CITY, Mo. -- Laura Catherine "Katie" Krieger, 93, of Scott City died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2001, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. She was born May 19, 1908, at Illmo, Mo., daughter of Frank and Laura J. Moore Hopke. She and Alfred William Krieger were married Nov. 9, 1935, in Jonesboro, Ill. He died May 20, 1971...

SCOTT CITY, Mo. -- Laura Catherine "Katie" Krieger, 93, of Scott City died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2001, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born May 19, 1908, at Illmo, Mo., daughter of Frank and Laura J. Moore Hopke. She and Alfred William Krieger were married Nov. 9, 1935, in Jonesboro, Ill. He died May 20, 1971.

Krieger was a member of Eisleben Lutheran Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Velma Jane August and Mary Lee Holder of Scott City; five grandsons; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by five brothers, a sister, and a great-grandson.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Eisleben Church, with the Rev. Bob Azinger officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Memorial Cemetery.
