Laura Frances Stone, 70, of Pine Bluff, Ark., died Thursday, March 27, 2003, at her home.
She was born Aug. 3, 1932, at Fornfelt, Mo., daughter of Clarence Melvin and Clara Marie Wilder Cook. She and John H. "Jack" Stone Jr. were married Sept. 17, 1950, in Jefferson County.
Stone attended Illmo-Fornfelt High School.
She began working for Stanley Home Products in 1959 and became a district sales manager. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and a past matron of Order of Eastern Star Union Chapter 40.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, retired Maj. John Stone III of Cabot, Ark., the Rev. Ronald Stone of Birmingham, Ala.; a daughter, Amy Hoover of Sheridan, Ark.; four brothers, Melvin and Allen Cook of Scott City, George Cook of Jefferson City, Mo., James Cook of Yuma, Ariz.; a sister, Carolyn Brown of Scott City; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.
Friends may call at Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Home in Pine Bluff from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. William Kinney officiating. Burial will be in Brown Cemetery.
