Lavonna Jean Gammon, 53, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Nov. 7, 2002, at Cancer Treatment Center of America in Tulsa, Okla.

She was born July 13, 1949, at Bonne Terre, Mo., daughter of Charles Robert and Nettie Louise Shelton Wade. She and Ronald Lee Gammon were married Jan. 9, 1998, in Cape Girardeau.

Gammon was a clerical worker at Soskin Cape Toyota. She moved here from Libertyville, Mo. She was a member of Eagles Auxiliary 3775 and VFW Auxiliary 3838 in Cape Girardeau, and American Legion Auxiliary 158 in Jackson.

Survivors include her parents of Rolla, Mo.; her husband; three sons, Wade Holloway of Benton, Mo., Adam Holloway of Fruitland, Bryan Gammon of Jackson; a daughter, Ronda Ladd of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Donna Fiebelman of Salem, Mo., Tracy Walker of Rolla; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City from 5 to 8 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, with the Rev. William Marshall officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
