SIKESTON -- Lawrence A. Griffith, 64, of Sikeston, died Monday, Jan. 11, 1993, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

He was born April 9, 1928, at Poplar Bluff, son of Frank J. and Lillian N. Emerson Griffith. He and Josephine Edwards were married Aug. 7, 1949, at Poplar Bluff.

Griffith was a carpenter and antique furniture dealer. He was a member of Murray Lane Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Daniel Griffith of Southaven, Miss., Michael Griffith of Memphis, Tenn.; a daughter, Kathy McKee of West Memphis, Ark.; his mother of Festus; three brothers, Charles, Walter and Ralph Griffith of St. Louis; two sisters, Frances Wray of San Diego, Calif., June Ross of Charlotte, N.C., and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Kelley Grubbs will officiate, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
