LAWRENCE CARNELL SR.

DIEHLSTADT -- Lawrence Lee Carnell Sr., 39, of Diehlstadt died Tuesday, June 22, 1999, near Effingham, Ill.

He was born Aug. 10, 1959, at Diehlstadt, son of George and Shirley Merrick Carnell. He and Jackie Lynn Donaldson were married in 1983.

A lifelong resident of Diehlstadt, Carnell was a driver with Lange Trucking Co. He was a member of First Southern Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Lindsay Carnell and Lawrence Carnell Jr.; his mother; and a brother, Timothy Carnell, all of Diehlstadt.

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. The Rev. Raymond Hannah will officiate. Burial will be in Maynard Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 10 a.m. until service time.
