LAWRENCE E. ZAHNER

PERRYVILLE -- Funeral mass for Lawrence E. Zahner, 88, of Perryville, will be held at 10 a.m. today at St. Vincent's Catholic Church. The Revs. Edward Wilson and Charles Rice will officiate, with burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 6:30-9:45 a.m. today.

Zahner, 88, died Monday, Jan. 18, 1993, at Perry County Hospital.

He was born May 24, 1904, at Silver Lake, son of Anthony and Margaret Undinger Zahner. He and Gladys L. Geile were married Nov. 24, 1936.

Zahner was a retired carpenter and cabinet maker. He was a member of St. Vincent's Church, it's Holy Name Society, and Carpenter's Local.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Harold Zahner of San Pedro, Calif.; a daughter, Carol Owens of St. Louis, and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, three brothers and four sisters.
