Leema E. Burns, 80, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Dec. 22, 2005, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born Sept. 5, 1925, at Flat River, Mo., daughter of Simon and Ada Huffman Benton.
She and George W. Burns were marrried May 29, 1954, at Cape Girardeau. He died March 31, 1991.
She worked at International Shoe Co. and was a member of Word of Faith Church.
Survivors include three sons, Eddie Harris of East Cape Girardeau, Ill., George "Tommie" T. Burns of Moberly, Mo., James M. Harris of Cape Girardeau; four daughters, Betty Settles of Tennessee, Carolyn Dodds of Gordonville, Sharon Ayres of Lancaster, Texas, Mary Criddle of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Lori Robbins of Cape Girardeau; 18 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, a daughter and two brothers.
Friends may call at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Word of Faith Church.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the church, with the Rev. Donnie Henson officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
