LENARD W. GARNER

MARBLE HILL -- Lenard "Steve" W. Garner, 67, of Advance, died Friday, Jan. 10, 1997 at John Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.

He was born Sept. 1, 1929, at Sank, Mo., son of Jonah and Myrtle Angel Garner.

Garner was a farmer, and a member of the General Baptist Church.

Survivors include his special friend, Lorene Cavaner, of Zalma; a son, Rick Garner, Advance; a daughter, Debbie Garner of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Troy Garner of Advance; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, three brothers, and a sister.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. today.

Service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, with the Rev. James Johns and the Rev. Denver Eaker officiating. Interment will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.
