CHAFFEE -- Leon A. Gosche, 84, of Chaffee died Jan. 3, 1993, at St. Francis Medical Center. He was born in New Hamburg Nov. 16, 1908, to the late Peter and Rosa Essner Gosche. He married Alvina Leible on April 19, 1932. She preceded him in death on Jan. 2, 1976. Then he married Cora Crader...

CHAFFEE -- Leon A. Gosche, 84, of Chaffee died Jan. 3, 1993, at St. Francis Medical Center.

He was born in New Hamburg Nov. 16, 1908, to the late Peter and Rosa Essner Gosche.

He married Alvina Leible on April 19, 1932. She preceded him in death on Jan. 2, 1976. Then he married Cora Crader.

He was a member of the St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee, St. Ambrose Men's Club, the Knights of Columbus Council #4311 of Oran, and the Chaffee Elks Lodge #1810.

He was a self-employed farmer for many years near New Hamburg, retiring in 1962.

Survivors include his wife; one son, L.C. Gosche of Jefferson City; two stepsons, Paul M. Crader of Arlington, Texas, and Joseph F. Crader of Oran; one daughter, Joann Brucker of Chaffee; two stepdaughters, Linda Mack of Benton and Donna Jo Nell Johnson of Kansas City, Mo.; six grandchildren, eight stepgrandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and eight stepgreat-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, three sisters and one great-granddaughter.

Friends may call at the AmickBurnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 4 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be recited at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. today.

A Knights of Columbus Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today.

A funeral Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee, with the Rev. Allan Saunders officiating.

Burial will be in St. Ambrose Catholic Cemetery in Chaffee.
