PERRYVILLE -- Leona V. Heise, 69, of Perryville died Friday, March 27, 1998, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

She was born April 6, 1928, at Farrar, daughter of Martin and Edna Fritsche Verseman.

She was a bank teller and worked for 1 1/2 years at the Bank of Menfro and 41 years at the Bank of Perryville. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville, Ladies Aid, Bercan Bible Class, AAL and the American Legion Auxiliary.

She married Elmer P. Heise, on Dec. 6, 1952. He survives.

She is also survived by a brother, Arlin Verseman of Crosstown, and a grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son and a brother.

Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 6:30 to 9 a.m. Monday at Young and Sons Chapel in Perryville. Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Jeffrey Lloyd officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
