PERRYVILLE -- Leona J. VanDoren, 68, of Perryville, died Thursday, July 8, 1993, at St. Louis University Medical Center. She was born Dec. 21, 1924, at Yount, daughter of Sylvan and Corinne Whistler Johnson. She and Charles V. VanDoren were married March 9, 1943...

PERRYVILLE -- Leona J. VanDoren, 68, of Perryville, died Thursday, July 8, 1993, at St. Louis University Medical Center.

She was born Dec. 21, 1924, at Yount, daughter of Sylvan and Corinne Whistler Johnson. She and Charles V. VanDoren were married March 9, 1943.

Survivors include a son, Timothy VanDoren of Moline, Ill.; three daughters, Jane Lottes and Linda Basler of Ste. Genevieve, Polly Orr of Evansville, Ind.; a brother, Ralph Johnson of Dennison, Texas; eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Young and Sons Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Edward Wilson will officiate, with burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. today.
