JACKSON -- Funeral service for Leslie Earl and Agnes Eileen Schweer, Jackson Route 3, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau. The Rev. David Conley will officiate, with burial in Lorimier Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.

Agnes, 88, died Sunday, Jan. 24, 1993, at St. Francis Medical Center. Leslie, 90, died Monday, Jan. 25, 1993, at his home.

She was born Oct. 30, 1904, at Jackson, daughter of Sylvia C. Cotner. He was born March 1, 1902, at Gordonville, son of Charles Albert and Adie Mae Keeling Schweer. They were married Dec. 29, 1923, in Cape Girardeau.

Leslie had farmed, sold Knapp Shoes, and worked at Sanders Hardware in Jackson. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.

The Schweers are survived by two daughters, Alice Schweer of Cape Girardeau, Tronah Fulton of Arvada, Colo;, four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Agnes is also survived by two sisters, Evelyn Jensen of St. Louis and Lucille Welker of Jackson. Leslie is also survived by two sisters, Irma Copeland and Lillyan Tinsley of Columbus, Ohio.

They were preceded in death by a son and daughter. She was also preceded by two brothers and two sisters. Leslie was also preceded in death by a brother.
