Burton, 92, died Wednesday, June 8, 1994, at the Lutheran Home.

She was born Sept. 2, 1901, in Cadiz, Ky., daughter of Thomas Marvin and Cora Edna Rodd Thomas. She and William H. Burton were married Dec. 18, 1926, in Marion. He died March 2, 1953.

Burton was a salesclerk at Minnen's 15 years, and then at Kay's. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors include Barbara Weiss of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Wallace Thomas of Lubbock, Texas; two sisters, Edna Holman of Cerulean, Ky., Helen Lewis of Nashville, Tenn.; two grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers.
