Lillie Ruth Taylor, 97, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2008, at Fountainbleau Lodge.
She was born Aug. 1, 1910, in Warm Springs, Ark., daughter of Thomas Foster and Paulena Whittenburg King. She and Dempse Taylor were married Feb. 8, 1929. He died Aug. 6, 1977.
Taylor was formerly of Sikeston, Mo., and a member of Shady Acres Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, Glen Taylor of St. Louis, Billy Taylor of Gulfport, Miss.; five daughters, Ruthine Modglin and Betty Taylor of Sikeston, Lequita Morris of Norman, Ark., Charlotte Drury and Bunny Keesee of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Wilma of Corning, Ark., Tommie of Kansas City, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, two brothers, three sisters and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to time of service today at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. today at the funeral home, with Tommy Gerrish officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories.
