PATTON, Mo. -- Lloyd Paul Welker, 90, of Patton went to be with the Lord Thursday, Sept. 30, 2021, at Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.
Lloyd was born Nov. 8, 1930, in Patton, son of George and Ester Yamnitz Welker. He and Doris Wharton were united in marriage Nov. 24, 1956.
He retired from Missouri Highway Department after 42 years. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army. And he was a member of Calvary Church in Fredericktown, Missouri.
Survivors include his wife, Doris; son Mike (Gena) Welker of Patton; daughters, Debbie (Marty) Shaw of Cummings, Georgia, and Cindy (Kevin) Beel of Leopold, Missouri; brothers, Darrel Welker of Patton and Karrol Welker of Fredericktown; sister, Mary Ehlers of Perryville, Missouri; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Perry; and sisters, Vera, Joy, Verna and Marsha.
A private family service will be held later at Liley Funeral Home in Patton with burial following in Reagan's Chapel Cemetery.
