Lona Gertrude Fingerhut, 90, of Carbondale, Ill., formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2010, at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
She was born Aug. 30, 1919, at Whitewater, to Robert H. and Edith Brown Davis. She and Lawrence Fingerhut were married Sept. 10, 1938, in Farmington, Mo.
Fingerhut had been a supervisor at Davis Electric.
Survivors include three grandchildren, Debbie Johnson of Peoria, Ill., Hoby Slinkard of Carbondale, Donna Akeman of Alton, Ill.; five great-grandchildren, Brynn Wheetley, Emma Johnson, Mary Wolf-Slinkard, Kylee Wheetley and Elisha Wheetley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a daughter, P. June Futrell.
There will be no visitation.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery in Gordonville.
Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
