LONIE E. SAVAT

SIKESTON -- Lonie E. Savat, 81, of Sikeston, died Monday, Oct. 9, 1995, at Sikeston Convalescent Center.

He was born April 30, 1914, in Belgique, son of Camille and Rosa Cornelius Savat. He and Genevieve Hensley were married in 1934. She preceded him in death.

Savat was a retired farmer.

Survivors include two sons, Bruce Savat of Sikeston, Jerry Savat of Dexter; four daughters, Lana Payton of Stockton, Calif., Carol Penrod of Portageville, Gelena Tippy of Sikeston, Janet King of Madisonville, Tenn.; a brother, Bill Savat of Poplar Bluff; two sisters, Juanita Kemp of Flint, Mich., Ida Woolsey of Sikeston; 18 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son and two brothers.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Sikeston from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Revs. Jerry Adams officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
