Lorene Olga "Boots" Pincksten, 84, of Cape Girardeau passed away Monday, April 11, 2022, at Heartland Care Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born April 5, 1938, in Jackson, daughter of Alvin and Olga Boese Nothdurft. Lorene was a graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School. She worked many years at Florsheim Shoe in Cape Girardeau. After Florsheim Shoe closed, she continued working at Dollar General in Cape Girardeau until her retirement...

Lorene Olga "Boots" Pincksten, 84, of Cape Girardeau passed away Monday, April 11, 2022, at Heartland Care Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born April 5, 1938, in Jackson, daughter of Alvin and Olga Boese Nothdurft.

Lorene was a graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School. She worked many years at Florsheim Shoe in Cape Girardeau. After Florsheim Shoe closed, she continued working at Dollar General in Cape Girardeau until her retirement.

Loving survivors include a son, Michael (Debbie) Pincksten of Cape Girardeau; three grandsons, Darren (Stacey) McIntosh of Jackson and Nathan (Amanda) McIntosh and Shannon (Jenna) McIntosh, both of Chaffee, Missouri; sister, Lawanda Carrigan of Joliet, Illinois; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Wilma Busciglio; a brother, William Morrison; an infant brother; her parents; and her stepmother, Grace, who raised her from age 4.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time today at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. today at the funeral home with the Rev. Sam Roethemeyer officiating. Interment will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to the American Diabetes Association.
