Lucille Marie York, 95, of Millersville died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2004, at Jackson Manor in Jackson. She was born Sept. 4, 1909, in Dorchester, Ill., daughter of John Harmon and Maymie Caroline Gorham Lovell. She and Joseph L. York were married Nov. 27, 1928, in St. Louis. He died Jan. 31, 1964...

Lucille Marie York, 95, of Millersville died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2004, at Jackson Manor in Jackson.

She was born Sept. 4, 1909, in Dorchester, Ill., daughter of John Harmon and Maymie Caroline Gorham Lovell. She and Joseph L. York were married Nov. 27, 1928, in St. Louis. He died Jan. 31, 1964.

York operated York's Highway 51 Service Station at Lutesville, Mo. She sold the business and moved to Millersville in 1974. She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church in Marble Hill, Mo.

Survivors include two sons, Edward York of Benton, Mo., Robert York of Glenallen, Mo.; a daughter, Myrna Cheek of Morley, Mo.; a brother, Robert Lovell of New Castle, Ind.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sons, two brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call at Hutchings Funeral Chapel from 4 to 8 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Delbert Bishop officiating. Burial will be in Baker Cemetery at Marble Hill.
