Lucy T. Fowler, 94, formerly of Pocahontas, passed away Nov. 25, 2020, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. Lucy T. Fowler, 94, formerly of Pocahontas, passed away Nov. 25, 2020, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

The youngest of seven children, Lucy was born Oct. 22, 1926, in Bourbon, Missouri, to the Rev. Sam D. and Amy E. Sites Bohnenkamp.

She and Andrew Fowler were married June 8, 1946, in Desloge, Missouri. Andrew later became a United Methodist minister, pastoring multiple churches in Southeast Missouri, including Zion Methodist Church in Gordonville. They had been married 52 years when Andrew passed away Dec. 21, 1998.

Lucy was a member of New McKendree United Methodist Church in Jackson and volunteered at the Jackson Senior Center.

Lucy's family celebrated many special occasions at the Lutheran Home over the past 11 years, and they are eternally grateful to the staff of the Lutheran Home for attentive care they gave to Lucy.

Loving survivors include two daughters, Beverly (Mark) Kasten of Pochaontas and Brenda Hardin of Scopus, Missouri; granddaughter, Amy (Gibbie) Yates and children Blake, Hailey and Riley of Jackson; granddaughter, Jennifer (Daniel) Hoskins and children Jack and Joey of St. Louis; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Moranville of Farmington, Missouri; and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons-in-law, Bill Straussner and Paul Hardin; six siblings, May, Mildred, Earl, Clara, Henry, and Marvin; and her companion, Rowland Julian.

Visitation is from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The funeral is at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jimmie Corbin officiating. Graveside committal will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday at St. Francois County Memorial Park Cemetery in Bonne Terre, Missouri.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to the Building Fund of Zion Methodist Church in Gordonville or the Music Fund of New McKendree United Methodist Church in Jackson.
