ANNA, Ill. -- Funeral for Luther O. Fear of Anna will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Pastor Bonnie Mills will officiate, with burial in Anna Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.

Fear, 82, died Tuesday, April 28, 1998, at Union County Hospital.

He was born June 15, 1915, in Jonesboro, son of Otto and Nora Barred Fear. He married Helen Pitts June 29, 1935, in Jonesboro.

Fear was a produce broker 38 years. He was a member of the Church of God and Laborers Local 1830.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Luther Fear Jr. and Ron Fear of Anna, Steve Fear of Dongola; a daughter, Joan Jones of Anna; a brother, Homer Fear of Jonesboro; four sisters, Dorothy Aden and Thelma Lingle of Anna, Mary Burke of Naperville, Pauline Bond of Iowa; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son and two brothers.
