ORAN -- Magdaline "Lena" Menz, 93, of Oran, died Monday, Sept. 4, 1995, at Chaffee Nursing Center. She was born Aug. 17, 1902, near Oran, daughter of Romanus and Mary Hoffer Halter. She and Martin T. Menz were married Feb. 17, 1920. He died Oct. 6, 1975...

ORAN -- Magdaline "Lena" Menz, 93, of Oran, died Monday, Sept. 4, 1995, at Chaffee Nursing Center.

She was born Aug. 17, 1902, near Oran, daughter of Romanus and Mary Hoffer Halter. She and Martin T. Menz were married Feb. 17, 1920. He died Oct. 6, 1975.

Menz was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church and its St. Ann Sodality.

Survivors include five daughters, Viola Moroni of Oran, Virginia Lenand of Portageville, Irline Brucker of Bell City, Evelyn Wagoner of Clinton, Mont., Mary Oliver of Bainbridge, Ga.; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, three sisters, two grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran after 5 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7.

Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Guardian Angel Church. The Rev. Frederick Lutz will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.
