Reeves Marlin. She and Raymond Anthony Burger were married Aug. 11, 1934, in Belleville, Ill. He preceded her in death March 4, 2004...

Margaret Earlene Burger, 95, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

She was born Saturday, Feb. 10, 1917, in Cape Girardeau, to Claude M. and Mattie V. Reeves Marlin. She and Raymond Anthony Burger were married Aug. 11, 1934, in Belleville, Ill. He preceded her in death March 4, 2004.

Margaret lived in California many years, where she worked at Merrit Products Inc. 20 years as a stock room clerk. In 1998 she and Raymond moved to Virginia to be near their daughter. She has been in Cape Girardeau two years.

Survivors include a daughter, LaDonne Rae Baron and husband, Thomas Mastin Baron of Midlothian, Va.; three sisters, Elsie Marlin and Betty Lou Gotham of Clearlake, Calif., Marlene Holy of Elmhurst, Ill.; and a brother, Jerry Marlin of Gilbert, Ariz.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a grandson, Kevin Zane; a sister, Bernice Smiley Burgess; and two brothers.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tom Kiefer officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery.
