BENTON -- Marie Dorothy Vinyard, 66, of Benton, died Sunday, May 19, 1991, at her home.

She was born June 14, 1924 in Williamsville, daughter of Marion and Rose Ann Joiner Ward.

On Dec. 30, 1943, she married Benjamin Vinyard. He died Oct. 5, 1977.

She was a housewife and a member of the Unity Baptist Church of Benton.

Survivors are three sons, Gordon James Vinyard, Sikeston, Frank Vinyard, Benton, and Joe Vinyard, Wood Ridge; three brothers, Hollis Ward, Mill Spring, Carrol Ward, Poplar Bluff, and Earl Ward, Doniphan; one sister, Annie Halter, Mill Spring; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, eight siblings and one grandchild.

Friends may call today after 6 p.m. at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Benton. Service will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Dale Huff officiating. Burial will follow in the Blodgett Cemetery.
