SIKESTON, Mo. -- Anna Marie Forsythe, 91, of Sikeston died Sunday, March 11, 2012, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born July 3, 1920, in Lilbourn, Mo., to James B. and Nellie Elliott Ward. She and Robert Forsythe were married April 18, 1939, in Charleston, Mo. He preceded her in death Feb. 17, 2001.
Marie was a self-employed beautician 23 years and was employed by Anchor Toy Co. 16 years. She was a member of North Acres General Baptist Church in Sikeston, where she was also custodian 23 years.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Robert R. and Bettie Forsythe of Scott City; a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Paul Marchbanks of Kansas City, Mo.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The funeral was Wednesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Frank Winfree of Kansas City officiating. Burial was in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
