Ila Marilyn Breining, 81, of Cape Girardeau passed away Monday, Jan. 23, 2017, at Ratliff Care Center.
She was born Jan. 29, 1935, in Vale, Tennessee, to the late Joe Vernon and Mabel Green Mitchell. She and William A. Breining Jr. were married Dec. 1, 1956, in Memphis, Tennessee. He preceded her in death in 2013.
Marilyn was a member of the Jackson Church of Christ in Jackson.
Survivors include three children, Bill (Sylvia) Breining of Somerville, Tennessee, Susie (Scott) Martin of Cape Girardeau and Mimi (Scott) Gardner of Buford, Georgia. She had six grandchildren, Jessica and Alex Breining, Kelsey and Kaylen Martin and Katie and Kristin Gardner.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Gene Mitchell.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Shackelford Funeral Chapel in Savannah, Tennessee.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
