DEXTER -- Marion Fay Ellis, 66, of Dexter, died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 1995, at Lake Wappapello.
He was born Feb. 13, 1929, in Holladay, Tenn., son of Giles Vick and Ethel Bond Ellis. He and Billie Maclin were married Dec. 7, 1949, in Piggott, Ark.
Ellis was a maintenance worker with Hudson Foods Farm. He moved to Missouri in 1938, to Harrisburg, Ill., in 1964, and to Dexter in 1977.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Philip Ellis of Dexter; a daughter, April Barfoot of Campbell; three brothers, Wilburn Ellis of Harrisburg, Elmer Ellis of Huntington, Tenn., Bobby Ellis of St. Petersburg, Fla.; five sisters, Sally King, Mary Lewis and Odessa Downing of Dexter, Maedelle Johnson of Corning, Ark., Genelle Griggs of Harrisburg, and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Clifford Wray officiating. Burial will be in Hagy Cemetery at Dexter.
