MARBLE HILL, Mo. — John Mark Baker, 62, of Marble Hill, formerly of Jackson, passed away Friday, Dec. 18, 2015, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born May 24, 1953, in Cape Girardeau to John and Doris Peel Baker.
Mark was a 1972 graduate of Jackson High School. He worked 40 years as a line electrician for the city of Jackson. In his younger years, he attended First Baptist Church.
Loving survivors include four children, Brandon (Alisha) Baker of Marble Hill, Kia (Sean) Bomar of Jackson and John “J.J.” Baker and Megan Baker, both of Cape Girardeau; 12 grandchildren, Quentin, Aaron, Tristan, Angelina, Kaydence, Braedon, Madison, Alissa, Christa, Bertie, Travell and Arieanna; three siblings, Mike (Joyce) Baker and Mitchell (Terry) Baker of Jackson and Marsha (the late Gordon) Bisher of St. Louis; and his stepfather, Max Amos.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Charles “Mack” Baker.
To celebrate Mark’s life, friends are invited to an informal gathering from 2 to 6 p.m. Jan. 30 at the VFW Hall in Cape Girardeau.
