Mark David Collier, 55, of Gordonville died Sunday, Nov. 22, 2015, at his home.

He was born Sunday, Sept. 11, 1960, in St. Louis to Ernest Clinton and Dorothy Marie Williams Collier. He and Janice Gail Pfeiffer were married Friday, Jan. 9, 1981, at Zion Lutheran Church in Gordonville.

Mark graduated from Jackson High School in 1979, where he excelled on the football field and as an All-State wrestler.

He was employed for many years in manufacturing in the Cape Girardeau area.

Mark enjoyed hunting, fishing and cooking. His biggest joys came from coaching youth soccer and watching his son, Neil, play football in high school and college. Most recently, he enjoyed spending time with his two grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Collier; son, Neil Paul (Lori) Collier; and grandsons, Beckett Paul and Hollis Bryant Collier, all of Gordonville; his mother, Dorothy Collier; and brothers, Clint (Nancy) Collier and Bruce (Ella) Collier, all of Jackson.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Collier.

There will be a visitation/celebration of Mark's life from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Zion Lutheran Church Parrish Hall south of Gordonville.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Collier JHS Wrestling Scholarship Fund.
