Martha Ann Morton, 91, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Sept. 30, 1996, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. She was born June 3, 1905, at Zalma, daughter of Miles "Rudolph" and Susan "Kate" Sipes Fowler. She and Louis "Jack" Morton were married Aug. 16, 1930, at Lutesville. He died April 26, 1980...

Martha Ann Morton, 91, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Sept. 30, 1996, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born June 3, 1905, at Zalma, daughter of Miles "Rudolph" and Susan "Kate" Sipes Fowler. She and Louis "Jack" Morton were married Aug. 16, 1930, at Lutesville. He died April 26, 1980.

Morton was a member of Union Grove General Baptist Church near Leora.

Survivors include two daughters, Jobyna Daume of Cape Girardeau, Grace Shadowens of Rockville, Md.; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son.

Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ernest Jordan officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
