Mary Virginia Brown, 50, of Jackson died Sunday, April 25, 2004, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Aug. 26, 1953, in St. Louis, daughter of Daniel and Mary Adele Holton Minnich. She and Michael William Brown were married in 1973.

Brown was a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University. She was employed by AFLAC, and was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Jason Brown of Cape Girardeau, Jacob Brown of Jackson; four sisters, Carolyn Widhalm of Spokane, Wash., Christine Minnich of St. Louis, Theresa Allen of Monticello, Mo., Edel Anderson of St. Clair, Mo.; three brothers, Daniel Minnich of Annapolis, Mo., John Minnich of Festus, Mo., and Gregory Minnich of Fenton, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may call at Ortmann-Stipanovich Funeral Home in Creve Coeur from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Rita Church in Vinita Park, Mo. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in St. Louis.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Cape Girardeau.
