SIKESTON -- Mary Ethel Hodges, 96, formerly of Wyatt, died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 1995, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. She was born Oct. 16, 1898, at Thebes, Ill., daughter of Grant and Minnie Mae Morgan McMillen. She and Glennie H. Hodges were married Dec. 23, 1916. He preceded her in death April 20, 1971...

SIKESTON -- Mary Ethel Hodges, 96, formerly of Wyatt, died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 1995, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born Oct. 16, 1898, at Thebes, Ill., daughter of Grant and Minnie Mae Morgan McMillen. She and Glennie H. Hodges were married Dec. 23, 1916. He preceded her in death April 20, 1971.

Hodges lived in Mississippi County most of her life and recently moved to the Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston. She was a member of the Wyatt Baptist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Gladys Ruth Johnson of Wyatt and Imogene Morris and Addie May Murphy, both of Charleston; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Gerald Collier officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
