COBDEN, Ill. -- Mary Irene Manninger, 85, of Cobden, died Tuesday, July 11, 1995, at City Care Center in Anna.

She was born Aug. 19, 1909, in Anna, daughter of Everett and Maude Halterman Williams. She and Fern M. Manninger were married April 10, 1931, in Cobden. He died Sept. 11, 1981.

Manninger had worked at Richter Brothers Department Store in Anna. She was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church many years and had served as Sunday School teacher, church clerk and choir member.

Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Williams of Cobden; a son, John Manninger of Crockett, Texas; a sister, Mildred Marcinkowski of Anna; three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers.

Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna after 6 p.m. today, and after 10 a.m. Thursday.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. DeWayne Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.
