Mary Klutts

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Mary Elna Klutts, 83, of Sikeston died Monday, May 6, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born March 10, 1919, at Portageville, Mo., daughter of William and Minnie Gilbow Warth. She and William H. Klutts were married Aug. 14, 1938, at Risco, Mo. He died Feb. 11, 1964.

Klutts was a sales clerk at Blum's Department Store, P.N. Hirsch, and JCPenney. She was also a Mary Kay representative more than 20 years.

She had lived in Sikeston since 1945. She was a member of Tanner Street Church of God and Altrusa Club, and a volunteer at Missouri Delta Medical Center several years.

Survivors include a son, Ron Klutts of Sikeston; a daughter, Joyce Simonsen of Grand Rapids, Mich.; a brother, Bill Warth of Risco; four sisters, Margaret Williams of Evansville, Ind., Martha Cook of St. Louis, Berniece Welch of state of California, Donna Adams of Risco; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son and a sister.

Friends may call at Blanchard Funeral Chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Tanner Street Church of God. The Rev. Carl Addison will officiate. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
