She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Mary was known to have never met a stranger and welcomed all! She was very active and "on the go," an avid walker at the mall -- of course taking some time to visit with friends and new acquaintances -- a bike rider, trail walker, summer camper at Lakes Norfolk/Wappapello and a lover of her flower gardens around the home. Sunday night card playing, with family, was a given. Mary and Bill also loved to join in on public dances on Saturday nights.

Mary loved the Lord and Mary His mother. She routinely prayed the nightly rosary, following it on EWTN with mother Angelica, whom she also loved.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Funeral Home on Mount Auburn Road in Cape Girardeau. Parish prayers begin at 7 p.m., concluding with the rosary lead by the Knights of Columbus Council 1111.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Cathedral in Cape Girardeau with the Rev. Allan Saunders officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial contributions may be given to Alzheimer's Association of Greater Missouri.
