Mary Ann Smith, 50, of Jackson passed away Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born June 25, 1962, in Cape Girardeau, to Alvin Ray and Jesse Maxine Craft Schenimann. She and Curtis Wayne Smith were married Nov. 1, 1980.
Mary Ann was a co-owner and operator of Shawnee Square Car Wash and Storage in Jackson. She was of the Southern Baptist faith and was active with the Southern Baptist Disaster Relief Programs, the American Cancer Society and Jackson Chamber of Commerce.
Loving survivors include her husband of 31 years; a son, Raymond W. Smith (Karen M. Sutton); a daughter, Toni McLane (Nate) Kilbourn; two grandchildren, Devin Sutton and Kaitlynn Maryann Smith; her parents, Alvin and Jesse Maxine Schenimann; three brothers, Alvin Lynn (Paula) Schenimann, Joseph Leroy (Cheryl) Schenimann, Gary Dean (LeeAnn) Schenimann, all of Jackson; and a sister, Tammy Jo (Charles) Kassel of New Wells.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Dr. Kevin Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
