ADVANCE, Mo. -- Mathel Musgraves, 100, of Brighton, Ill., passed away Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011, at Robings Manor. She was born Jan. 24, 1911, near Advance, daughter of Arthur and Bessie Edward Redman. She and Charles Franklin Musgraves were married June 9, 1930. He preceded her in death in February 1987...

ADVANCE, Mo. -- Mathel Musgraves, 100, of Brighton, Ill., passed away Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011, at Robings Manor.

She was born Jan. 24, 1911, near Advance, daughter of Arthur and Bessie Edward Redman. She and Charles Franklin Musgraves were married June 9, 1930. He preceded her in death in February 1987.

She attended Bell City United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two nieces, Pat Cairns of Brighton, Shelia Portwood of Dexter, Mo.; a nephew, Bob Redman of Kennett, Mo.; two dear friends, Howard and Sandy Abner of Advance; and numerous great and great-great-nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to service time today at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Andy Lambel officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Advance.
