PARMA -- Funeral service for Maurine E. Conaster of Memphis, Tenn., will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at Parma United Methodist Church. The Revs. R.L. Hester and Frank Hutsed will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery at Sikeston.

Conaster, 95, died Saturday, July 29, 1995, at Methodist Hospital in Memphis.

She was born Nov. 29, 1899, near Essex. Her father died when she was an infant and her mother, Elma, married H.L. Boaz. She and Lawrence L. Conaster were married Dec. 29, 1922. He died Aug. 10, 1946.

Conaster taught 30 years in Parma and Maple Grove Schools. She also gave private voice and piano lessons. She was a member of Parma United Methodist Church, former president of the Music Club in Sikeston, and was a member of Missouri State Teachers Association many years.

She lived here most of her life, moving to Memphis five years ago.

Survivors include two sons, Larry and Jerry Conaster of Memphis; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
