Memorial service for Maxine E. Peebles of Cincinnati, Ohio, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Anderson Hills United Methodist Church in Cincinnati.
Peebles, 71, died Sunday, Aug. 4, 1996, at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati.
She was born May 7, 1925, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Thomas and Jennie Vangilder Campbell. She and Herbert R. Peebles were married April 27, 1946, in Cape Girardeau.
Peebles was a 1942 graduate of Central High School, and attended Southeast Missouri State University.
She moved to St. Louis in 1950. She was an artist and traveled for the Libson Dress Shop in St. Louis. The Peebles moved to Cincinnati in 1966. She was a member of Anderson Church and its United Methodist Women.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Leslie Shumate of Lexington, Ky., Laura Lilly of Cincinnati; two sons, Brent Peebles of Miami, Fla., Mark Peebles of Orlando, Fla.; her mother, Jennie Wolff of Cincinnati; a brother, Thomas Richard Campbell of Minneapolis, Minn., and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father.
