ZALMA -- Mayme Kerr, 91, of Zalma, died Saturday, July 8, 1995, at the Bond Nursing Center in Marble Hill.

She was born Dec. 15, 1903, at Grassy, daughter of Jasper and Mary Elizabeth Meyers Rea.

She and Milton Kerr were married in March 14, 1925, at Grassy. He died Feb. 12, 1982.

Kerr was a member of the Pleasant Valley General Baptist Church and OES chapter 509 in Zalma.

Survivors are two sons, Gerald Kerr of Union and Wendell Kerr of Cape Girardeau; one daughter, Conna Abernathy of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Lester Rea of Marble Hill and Mendel Rea of Napa Valley, Calif.; two sisters, Freda Gaines and Merriel Gillespie, both of East Alton, Ill.; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a son.

Friends may call from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Hone in Advance. OES rites will be held at 7:30 tonight at the funeral home.

Service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel with the Revs. Dan Sitze and Dale Fish officiating. Burial will be in Berrong Cemetery at Gypsy.
