Memorial service for Mildred Amelia Moore of Cape Girardeau will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River, Ill. Burial will be Monday in Wanda Cemetery in Roxana, Ill.

Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel was in charge of local arrangements.

Moore, 89, died Tuesday, March 11, 1997, at Heartland Care and Rehab Center.

She was born Feb. 20, 1908, in Illinois, daughter of George and Alice Mills Evans. She and Maurice A. Moore were married in 1928 in Alton, Ill. He died in 1981.

Moore lived in the Alton and Wood River areas until moving to Cape Girardeau in 1989. She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral and its Council of Catholic Women.

Survivors include a daughter, Nancy King of Cape Girardeau; two sons, Richard and Gary Moore of Wood River; seven grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a son and a stepsister.
