Mildred M. Schott, 91, of Perry County, Mo., died April 7, 2012, at Independent Care Center of Perry County.
She was born April 9, 1920, in Perry County, daughter of William L. and Emma B. Kirn Balsman. She and Walter L. Schott were married Feb. 27, 1943, and he preceded her in death Nov. 15, 1993.
Mrs. Schott was a housewife and former member of Immaculate Heart of Mary in St. Louis.
Survivors include a son, Gail B. (Susan) Schott of Chesterfield, Mo.; two brothers and two sisters, Earl Balsman, Raymond Balsman, Marcella Franklin and Irma Brown, all of Perryville; two grandchildren, Kelly (Kitaro) CheckettSchott of St. Louis and Lisa Schott of Denver.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters, Glorzy Braun and Alice Dosenbach; and one brother, Delmar Balsman.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Young and Sons Funeral Home, with a Catholic wake at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue from 6:30 to 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, with a rosary at 9:30 a.m.
She will then be taken to St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle, Mo., for Mass at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Tony Dattilo officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Memorials are preferred to St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle.
